For his first photobook, Alessandro Tomassetti assembles 10+ years of portraiture taken on 1960s-era Polaroid Land Cameras and expired peel-apart film. Tomassetti, an accomplished figurative painter, applies the same bold composition and tenebrous atmosphere found in his paintings to this collection of photographs.

Both a love letter to the male muses who have passed through his studio and a tip of the hat to the analogue technology that inspired and fascinated him, Instant Gratification showcases an evocative corner of Tomassetti’s oeuvre.

With a foreward by John Dalton and autobiographical anecdotes written by Alessandro, Instant Gratification takes the reader on an exploration of contemporary masculinity as seen through the eyes of one man and a vintage lens.
